Clean water is a priceless commodity.
Many of us take the gift of clean water for granted, but in numerous parts of the world 1 in 10 people do not have access to clean water. More people die from unsafe water than from all forms of violence, including war.
An Inspiring Story
One day, 8-year old Tate learned that clean water is an urgent need for 1 in 10 people. This sparked an idea, and his heart was on India. “I want people in India to have fresh water just like we do,” he shared with his mom.
88 million people lack access to safe water in India. The average woman spends 4 hours a day collecting and purifying water. Girls are pulled from school at the age of 8 to help their mothers. Can you imagine spending 28 hours a week preparing water for your family to drink?
Tate’s idea had become a reality when he and his two brothers, Jackson and Vance, sold fresh-baked bread to their relatives and friends to raise enough money in only 3 months to sponsor a fresh-water well. Now a village of 5,000 has access to clean drinking water, and young girls are able to attend school again. You can help to by giving here!
